Designer’s Saturday

::: GO TO WEB :::

Designer’s Saturday is dedicated to furniture, textiles, lighting, flooring and other interior and design related products aimed at both industry professionals and the wider design interested public. Both Norwegian and international brands as well as young and up and coming designers attend, focusing on quality and professional competence and building relations between different professional environments. Designers Saturday was originally brought to Norway from New York in 1986 and the event is held every other year.

Designers Saturday Oslo is not hosted in a big national exhibition centre – new and cutting edge Norwegian, Scandinavian and international exhibitors will display their products at locations and showrooms all across the Oslo city centre. Free bus service is available to attendees; simply jump on and off the bus where you want. Both Saturday and Sunday you will find exhibitions and installations by students and up and coming designers.

Designer’s Saturday | AWARDS

Designers Saturday Awards

Designers Saturday Oslo instigated Designers Saturday Awards in 2007. The awards serve to heighten interest in interior architecture and give students and experienced professionals’ alike, recognition of design excellence and quality.

DS Best Interior

Design competition; interior decorations of public space. A jury of experts chooses between the works of norwegian interior designers. The award serves to heighten interest in and promote the importance of interior architecture in the Norwegian public sector.

DS Best Talent

DS Best Talent is a chance for emerging designers to show their talents to potential employers in the industry, to the trade press and the general public. Designers Saturday aims to foster creative and new ideas, which will hopefully result in collaboration between designers and manufacturers.
